Mock driving test

Why you should take a mock driving test
A driving test is designed to make sure you have the skills you need to drive safely on the road, on your own and without any help.
It's vital that you prepare for it correctly and a key part of that preparation is taking one or more mock tests with an experienced driving instructor who knows how driving tests are conducted, the type of routes that you're likely to have to drive around and how examiners assess driving faults.
Mock driving tests will also show you what it's like to take a driving test and highlight any driving skills that need improving before you take the real thing.
Our realistic mock tests will also help you understand and dispel any anxiety you may feel about taking the real thing. We'll give you tips and advice that will help you feel more relaxed.
- Research shows 4 out 5 people who take a mock test say it leaves them feeling more confident about the real thing.
- And 9 out of 10 learner drivers who have taken a mock test before the real driving test would recommend that you take one.
Our mock tests cost just £55 and the feedback you will get at the end of one of our mock driving tests will give you a much better chance of passing your driving test first time - saving you lots of money, time and inconvenience.
No-one likes to fail a driving test!

Your mock test includes everything you may be asked to do during a real driving test:
- Eyesight check: You will be asked to read a registration plate from a distance of 20 metres. The mock test cannot go ahead if you can't do this.
- Vehicle safety questions: The instructor will ask you one "tell me" question before you drive and one "show me" question while moving.
- General driving ability: Driving on various types of road such as rural roads, fast roads, town centres and negotiating various types of junction.
- Reversing manoeuvre: You will perform one random exercise (e.g., parallel park, park in a bay, or pull up on the right side of the road).
- Independent driving: Following a sat-nav and/or traffic signs safely without navigation prompts.
- Emergency stop: This is included randomly in roughly 1 out of 7 tests.
- The result and feedback: At the end of the test you'll be told if you passed or not. You will also be given comprehensive feedback on any faults you made and how to avoid making them again!
